A religious base is the identified core element that underpins an entire religion or philosophy and it can either be ideological, emotional, or belief-based. Astronism is an example of a religion and philosophy that is emotionally-based at its core rather than ideological or belief based. This is exemplified through the fundamental notion at the core of Astronism based on the feeling that a person experiences when they think, look up to or otherwise interact with space and all that is extraterrestrial, a feeling known as astronality.
